Identify a font

Post by Turtle49 »

This isn't really an Aspire tip, but I ran across this website not too long ago.
http://www.identifont.com/

It helps you find the name of a font. It allows you to answer a series of questions and it tries to determine, based on your answers, what the name of the font is.

I used it and I actually found the font I was looking for.

Enjoy,
Tim

Dang Tim, where were you a month ago???

Only joking, but I did spend an hour, with a magnifying glass, trying to match a sample font. I've book marked this, so next time will be easier.

Thanks for posting,

Tim

Ya know what the worst part is Tim?
I found this at the beginning of December.... And I am just now posting it. Somebody asked me what font was used in that Key plaque I did in the VCP gallery and it made me think of it.

See! There I go holding back info...

I forgive you!

I honestly never thought there would be a website that provided this service. Never thought to look or search.

There's another one I've used called whatthefont.com

It gives you several different ways to identify a font. Speaking of which, thanks for the info earlier Turtle, that's a nice happy looking font.

hi

if you use a font for yourself... just vectorize it or download from any site... but if you sell alot, really look at for copyright issue... some fonts "lokicola" "disneyfont" they are too much wellknown... some fonts you can find under microsoft... or coreldraw you can use use in your stuff, and you can sell it..''
i've been made a few fontset, by vectorizing, and all the time look at for new fonts... the copyright issue is "raisin""...
