In Aspire 11.5, Is there a way to not include the sheet name in the file name when saving toolpaths? There are times where it's useful, but most of the time I don't use that, and I just don't like having to delete the leading sheet title part from the actual .tap filename?
Thanks

Re: File name question
Why do you have to delete it? it shouldn't be causing any problems unless your control software can't handle it for some reason.
There is the facility to add a custom config file that can be used to change the file naming but you will need some understanding of LUA code to do it that way.
That's what I've had on my system for a while now to save files to a fixed location with a fixed name for my control software to automatically pick up.

Re: File name question
Because I don't want to see it. I keep my files, per part, in their own separate folders, numbered in sequence of execution. Dumping text in front of that is annoying and unneeded. I don't care what my control software sees, I care what I see.
So, the actual answer is no? There's no checkbox to disable that?

Re: File name question
adze_cnc, Thank you I was way off, I need to stop jumping on the forums on my phone at work, I don’t think I give the posts enough attention to actually follow the question.

There is no checkbox to disable it. As I say there is a method provided that gives you absolute control over the file naming but you need to have some programming ability to use it.relayerbob wrote: ↑Thu Mar 02, 2023 2:35 amBecause I don't want to see it.
