Carving a picture

Post by belnald »

I once saw a tutorial on how to set up a basic 2D picture and carve it into a Cameo style carving. I went through the steps to contour the picture so you got a decent/nice "relief" carving. I want to try this, but cannot find the tutorial.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Creating 3D components from a photo is something that can take a lot of time to learn to do well, a lot will depend on the type of picture you have as a starting point
Michael Mesalick's you tube channel has some very good tutorials that will help.

A picture of the sort of thing you would like to be able to create would help
