Is it possible to generate a 3d tool path that is restricted to a specific portion of a model?
Scenario:
I have a wavy flag model with the legacy USAF crest. The model is 12x24 inch. I want to use a 1/8 inch ball nose (Whiteside SC66) for the first 3d finish then use an Amana #46282-k for a clean up 3d finishing path on the USAF crest. The SC66 isn't fine enough for the crest and the #46282 would take 48 hours to use for entire flag.
Any suggestions?

Re: 3d Finishing tool path question
Yes, draw a vector around the part that you want to restrict to it and make sure that vector is selected when creating the toolpath plus make sure you have the "Selected Vectors" option checked in the toolpath.
As you have Aspire you can also use a technique called Rest Machining -

Thanks, this looks great. I love Lindsay videos. I don't know how I missed this one.
