Hello everyone, I have a project I'm starting and the customer sent me some mesquite that I'm going to turn into a couple of fly boxes for him. I know mesquite is way up there on the hardness scale and if anyone has any tips on bit speeds and feed rates that you'd be willing to share I'd appreciate any helpful knowledge.
I'll be using a .25 end mill to cut pockets and the profiles I'll cut using the table saw.

Re: CNC Mesquite
I tend to run 120 IPM and the speed of my router (12,000 rpm)

Re: CNC Mesquite
Thank you for the info Nick. I usually run 100 inches per minute and a little fast bit speed with cherry and walnut so I'm in the ballpark with your suggestion. Thank you so much.
