I'm very happy with my CR10S the build plate is large enough to do most things 300mmx300mmx400mm. I have done a number of 3D printed parts to upgrade somethings, but that's just part of the fun of tinkering and making it yours. I think the best mods I've done are the Micro Swiss Hot End, TH3D EZABL bed leveler and a Raspberry PI with OctoPrint.
I believe the new kid on the block is the Ender 3 Pro which seems to be a good printer also, just don't know much about it...
I just got tired of having to tinker with it. I did the same upgrades you listed, but it was always breaking. Plus, I wanted to try TPU, etc. and it seemed like it was just cheaper to be a newer, better printer than add more upgrades. Besides, it would be new.....

Octoprint is a 'must' upgrade. The first thing I did for my Prusa was buy a new Pi 4 and touchscreen. I love it. I ran a Pi 3 on the CR10. The Pi 4 handles the video better.

The CR10 is certainly not a 'bad' printer. I'll give it to my oldest grandson as a package.

The Ender 3 PRO does get a lot of great reviews. I think it's not bad for the price. It has a good 24V power supply for fast heat. It's only $239 from the Creality site and $230-$280 from Amazon with 1-2 day delivery. CAUTION - read the reviews and fine print from the different 'versions (non-Creality)' of the printer.

Well I pulled the trigger on a 3D printer.
Too many hours researching and I have a headache.
Ordered a Prusa MK3. (kit version) Now the difficult part. They currently have a 4-5 delivery. I hate waiting :(

And the journey begins.....

Main reason I bought a Zortrax (three years ago now) was because it just works. Many people have said I'm mad because of the price of it but I bought a 3D printer to print things not to tinker about with the printer itself. Never had a failed print and everything always comes out perfectly with just a couple of mouse clicks in the software to select whatever filament I'm using.
