merging two componets together

Is there a good tutorial in regards two merging two component's together. I am using two pictures and I am getting the side of the each picture in the 3d view

A photo/screenshot of your two components would be helpful, as already mentioned. Perhaps it may be as simple as setting both components' Combine Mode to "Merge" when you butt them together. Light smoothing (sculpting) at the seam may hide evidence of the "joint".

Mark - YES - there are.

There is an entire series of tutorials, really good ones, on the DVD's that came with your Aspire DVD's
