convert AI and EPS files to CRV3d files
I bought the Vector Art mega collection and I put them in a folder in the vectric software under the 3d files. I have ALL my files organized so I can view everything except the mega collection files. I talked with James and Sara an was told that I had to open EACH file up and then close it out and save it as a CRV3d. Now that's not too bad, except there are over 6500 files in the mega collection. James told me to try the forum and see if I can be guided to a software that can convert these files. I started with the procedure of opening and closing the files while watching pit masters HAAA, and so far I have saved about 400 files. The bad thing is that I just have 6100 or more left. Can some one help with this dilemma?

How computer literate are you?
I have a macro/script program that will do this for you but it does require a bit of knowledge to edit the locations of where you want the files stored etc.

That doesn't convert to CRV3D format though.

You are right, but, it will lay a picture next to the vector file so you will know what you are opening. I find the program extremely useful.

I use a program called Mystic Thumbs for file types that don't have their own icon preview provided. It creates the thumbnail preview so it's seen as part of the actual file within Explorer in the same way the Windows does with bitmaps and Vectric does with their files.
Works great with the EPS format files that the Mega Collection comes in although I have converted all of mine to CRV files for ease of use.

I did the same as Adrian. I wrote some VBA code in one of the Microsoft Office applications that sends keystrokes to Aspire to open and save the files. It isn't something I'd share because it could really mess up a system in a hurry if things weren't coded quite right for your system.
