edge profiles

Post by H2O »

I’ve been playing around with the demo program. I would like to build a corner bead tool to use for an edge profile. I haven’t been able to build a corner bead tool – any suggestions
How do I build a tool that will step horizontally?

Aspire does not allow you to build tools in the database that have under cuts. To do what you want you would have to use a dummy tool and set up the toolpath to accomplish what you want. You will also not be able to preview the toolpath to see the bead either.

Hope this helps,

Thank you for your reply. I would like to know how to build a “dummy tool” and how to increment the steps to go along the x or y axis.
