Yeah you got that right, we are all guilty of trying to find the easy way, but its best in the long run not to look too hard for it

Re: Any AI masterpieces ?
So that is a AI generated image carved on cnc ?
Not bad, I experimented with foam early on, results were great but it was so fragile and messy, didn't feel the need to repeat.

When I was making Halloween props out of rigid foam, I would put a thin layer of boat epoxy over it to give it toughness. I'm not talking about the resins you use for casting or table tops... There is a marine epoxy you can get from Home Despot. You might try doing that to protect your foam carve. I tested on some foams and the problem I had was that as it got thinner, the middle would start to bow upwards. I guess some double sided tape would fix that.

No, this is white plexiglas painted black then etched with a fiber laser, no carving/CNC.tvannaman2000 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 28, 2024 2:07 amSo that is a AI generated image carved on cnc ?

Good idea for the foam, carves nice but is so fragile.
