In 3D Pane - How to Zoom and Pan

Post by ManitobaKeith »

Can anyone tell me how to zoom while viewing the 3D pane or while viewing both panes.
Also, how does one pan in the 3D pane?
The Grape Video Demo showed a zoom, but darned if I can figure out how.

Keith,
In Aspire, select help and look at the manual pages 10,11. Describes all that.

Thanks Bob,
I have read the manual at least twice, but it never stuck.
Must be information overload.

To Zoom, click on 3d pane, and rotate mouse wheel, or click and hold down right mouse button and move mouse.

To pan while zoomed in 3d, hold down control, click and hold right or left mouse button and move mouse.

I actually did know how to zoom, it was really the panning that was a problem. I now know how for both. Thanks. Also, I will, in the future, open the pdf and do a search in there. I tried in the disc/help version, but no search that I could find, and clicking on an unknown area is not very intuitive. Clicking on the magnifying area only brought up the 2D information, but I did eventually find that clicking on the 3D pane gave me the zoom and Pan information. So, along with learning Aspire, I am learning the Help system. Not only that, but I am also learning Corel Draw etc..

The reason I wanted to know the Zoom and Pan in 3D is, a friend that is an artist is visiting from London, Ontario and we were creating a 3D humming bird as a learning exercise for me and as a component for our roadside sign which I hope to have completed in a week or so. It will be a 24H x 35W x 1-1/2"D cedar sign. My machine is a 25x25 so it will take a bit of figuring, but that is just more fun learning :D
