vista 64

Post by fixtureman »

I just got a new computer and it has vista 64 on it. I loaded my copy of Aspire 1 and went to upgrade to version 2 but it will not let me. My control computer will load version 2 but I would like to get it on the design computer. Just to see if it was Vista I tried it on my wife's laptop running Vista 7 32 bit and it loaded fine. What can I do to get it to run on my design computer. Specs are Toshiba laptop Intel 2 duo T6400 running Vista 64 home with 4 gigs ram.

Hi,

What do you mean by 'it will not let me' ? We have customers running Aspire 2 on Vista 64, what error messages are you seeing?

That file hasn't downloaded properly. It should be way bigger than 481 bytes in size. Try downloading it again and see what happens or try the file you used on the other computers.

Yes,it looks like you are trying to run "shortcuts" instead of the real executable.

hi

i'm a crazy dos guy... my controller, when i turn on gives everytime some funny remark...
examples..
"ummagumma, this noise comes from your controller "

or anothers
"windows is not sufficient to run cnc"
"user error, strike user, then you can continue"

i just don't want to list all :-)

if you have chance don't use mozilla firefox.... it has "accelerator" for download... that doesn't work in each situation... the best thing is use the windows explorer without additions.... "addons"
bil gates could not design windows for each upcoming software....
also there's some really serious... the 70percent of viruses "like popups" comes trough on flash players....

this is what you can use for remote control to your computer... for example change the typed adresse in the browser... and the users just don't understand why got redirected to sites, they didn't type...
