When creating a pocket toolpath I can edit the number and depth of passes, perhaps to set a thin final cut to help ensure a smooth finish on the bottom.
Wish I could do that on clearance passes for V-carve toolpaths, At present the number of passes for clearance passes are determined by the depth of cut set in the tool database for that particular cutter being used to hog out excess material prior to the V carve bit finishing things up.
Just a wish...

Jerry, I do an extra "finish" path a little deeper on vcarves by changing the Start Depth to 0.002". It doesn't work on all sizes and fonts, though. Sometimes small parts will chip out, so it isn't universally appropriate.
It is just enough to rid my vcarve of a lot of fuzzy stuff.
