Threading toolpath lead in

Post by morbious1 »

It appears to me that the default lead-in of a threading toolpath is at the front center of the job.

Any way to tell the software where to start the lead-in on a threading path? It seems Aspire ignores any point selected as a start point on a threading toolpath…

Maybe this video will help.

Or this one.

Yes, I have watched that video several times as well as others. My question solution is not addressed in any of the videos I have watched. At the 27 minute point of the video in the link you provided, the toolpath view shows the lead-in being at the center front. This is also shown at the 31:24 point of the video. The location of the lead-in is what I want to change through the software.

For anyone that may be interested in my question, this is the response I received from Vectric…

"The Leads on a Threading toolpath are always on the lowest edge of the Circle in Y, so its always starting on the same side.
At this time there is no way to alter this in the toolpath settings."
