Clipart clean up

Post by ohiolyons »

I'm cleaning up and reorganizing my clipart.

I clicked the file InstallFreeEOTClipart.exe and it says it put it in clipart folder.

I don't see a subfolder called employee owned so I assume the files were put in appropriate subfolders.
I closed Aspire and restarted it too.

My question is does anyone have a link to what the files were?
Just want to see what was added.

It doesn't create a new folder for "EOT - Celebration" or something along those lines. Instead it is installs into a series of folders in the Clipart folder. They are Animals, Decorative, Plants & Fruits, and Ribbons (Banners).

Hi John,

Where did you find the "InstallFreeEOTClipart.exe" ?
I can't find it anywhere.
Or did you pay for it?

It was in my clip art folder where I keep copies of all my clip art.

I’m pretty certain it was originally on the forum or newsletter when they became employee owned.

Just didn’t have an idea what was in it. So I couldn’t tell if it installed. In most cases I have documentation of what is in each installer, but not this one.

Sent same request to vectric support and they said they no longer had any documentation of what was in it. They said that the clip art would be installed in its appropriate folder.

They did give me one example to check on, a ryukin goldfish and it was there so I assume I have all the rest.

I try to keep track of the origin of my clip art in case I’m ever questioned.

I will admit I was disappointed in their answer.

I was hoping one of our great forum user would have the documentation, but so it not looking so good.

Vectric's response to me.

Hello John,

Many thanks for your enquiry,

That's correct, this clipart pack includes individual artwork which install within the; Animals, Decorative, Plants & Fruits, and Ribbons (Banners)
sub folders. For example the fish gets placed in the Animals folder under Ryukin_Goldfish. I'm afraid though that we do not have the full
list for this any more I'm afraid but they would be added to the above folders.

I hope that this helps,

Is this extra clipart still available? or is there a cost involved ?

It was free at the time and since they have no record of what was in it I would say it is not available at this time.

Technically you would have had to been a user at the time of EOT conversion to qualify.

The only model they referenced in their email is the goldfish and I have never used it.

I can't remember if there was a list of what was included at the time or how it was downloaded but I have most of the things that I have downloaded stored away somewhere either on a spare drive or somewhere in the cloud. I will have a look to see if I can find the original download to see if there is a list of what was included

Hope you have it, I'm really good at those things for all my other clip art, but not this one.

Sorry to say I can't find it, I was fairly sure I would have it somewhere in the cloud as just about everything else seems to be there
Not knowing what it was actually called doesn't help but I don't think I missed it when searching

Thanks for looking, I really don't think it exists.

Must of been a spur of the moment thing on Vectric's behalf since they have no record of it.
As I said earlier I'm pretty good at maintaining licencing info to cover my 6.

The file name is as OP shows in first message -- "InstallFreeEOTClipart.exe".

The date on the file is Nov 28,2019. I am not sure if that is download date or creation date though.

If you open in a zip unarchiver (I used 7zip) and look through the file structure it looks like the following files are in the exe file.

Thank you I ave them all and was unaware of software that would do what 7zip does.

EDIT just downloaded 7-zip opened the files, Thanks so very much.
