tool path starting point

Post by blacktrain »

The board I am cutting, the toolpath is starting on the left side and I need it to start from the other end. How would I change the start point? I am using Aspire. I appreciate anyone's help. Thank you...

And what toolpath would that be? Profile, pocket, moulding, etc.

This is what I am trying to do. I have a board 6' long 8" wide 1.125 thick, the first 3' has to have a slight curve from side to side. I want 2" of the center of the board full thickness and curve off both sides to the bottom of the board. Thank you for you help...

Pictures help
It may be as simple as moving the start point of the vector (green node) to the other side of your vector. If that is the case enter node edit mode, hover over the note you want to make the start point, right mouse click & select make start point

It may not be that simple which is where screen shots of what you are doing or the CRV file (copyright permitting)

Look under the Start At options on the set of tabs in the Profile toolpath. Make sure the "Show advanced toolpath options" box is checked.

Go into NODE editing. Select the vector, add a point where you want to start cutting. Right click on that point and set it as START POINT. I do this all the time.
