Poc marks in woodgrain

Post by RShimp »

We do a good bit of Vector Texture woodgrain signs in 3/4" pvc.
Sometimes i get "poc marks" in the woodgrain.
Some i understand, when the 1/4" ball squeezes' into a tight spot with only a z move available between letters.
But, sometimes it makes a pm in the woodgrain where there is no nearby contours to deal with.
See pics below.
I'd apricate any feedback to correct the issue.
thank you

With not knowing how many things you may have tried there are a few variables that come to mind you could try,

The pattern goes right up to your border you might try to stay away from the border to lessen those edge pock marks,

The texture menus have a longest and shortest stroke length you might try and lengthen the shortest stroke,

Try various combinations and zoom in on the tool path preview to check your work,

Is the image imported? If so, then check for extraneous or stray pixels where the pock marks are. You may need to drag select a large area then zoom in really close on the 2d screen.
