Model rotation
Is there a way to rotate a model after it has been imported into Aspire 11.5? I would like to raise one of my X axis up by about .25"
Thanks,
Thanks,

Re: Model rotation
It sounds like you need to look up the "tilt" and "fade" functions in the online help. Tilt is probably the function you want.

Re: Model rotation
Dealguy, I don't think this works if I'm importing a model. I'm importing a STL from other software. I tried Tilt in the Component Properties but the degree section is shaded and I check Tilt.
Thanks,
Thanks,

Re: Model rotation
I’ve never used tilt but I think the sequence is select tilt checkbox, click on anchor, set two anchor points, enter angle. But, the documentation for it is the place to find out for sure...

Re: Model rotation
Once you import an STL, Aspire converts it to a Vectric 3d component. After that, it can be manipulated just like any other component.

Re: Model rotation
I just tried sculpting some changes to an stl and it worked.
Didn't realise I could do that.
Thanks.

Re: Model rotation
Hopefully the OP followed Adze's direction. You do have to set anchor points as part of the Tilt process. Same for Fade. The anchor points tell Aspire which direction to do the tilt or fade. For Tilt, the second anchor point is the side that will get thicker. The sequence is click the checkbox next to Tilt, click the Set button, draw the line, and set the number of degrees of tilt. All covered in the documentation and training videos.

Re: Model rotation
Just answered another post with similar question. You can use the rotation slider when importing.

Re: Model rotation
Gary, that is what I did first but need to rotate it a little more after I imported it. I wish we could go back to the "Import 3D Model > Transform" and readjust as needed.
Thanks,
Thanks,
Re: Model rotation
You can right click on the imported component in the model tree and select "Re-Import".MarionGreenlee wrote: ↑Fri Feb 10, 2023 9:29 pmGary, that is what I did first but need to rotate it a little more after I imported it.
