Help please. . . Corbels

Hi all,
My wife fancies some of these.
I had my "showing off" head on and said I could make some. I did explain that I have no idea how but I'll find out.
I thought I'd read posts where you could project a 3D clipart model onto an uneven surface.
I tried to do it last night and failed badly.
Is this sort of thing possible?
Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

You should post yours. I'd love to see them. How did they turn out? Did you have any issues with undercuts?

Still at the planning stage. I need to come up with a design that she likes first.
