In Aspire, I am machining external threads (using the attached specs), on a wooden post that are precisely what I am trying to achieve except they are extremely sharp.
How can I adjust these settings to remove the sharpness without losing the fit?

Re: Threads
Never cut threads before, but I have played with some of the tutorials a long time ago.
I think you are out of luck, it is my understanding that the shape of threads comes from the bit shape.

Re: Threads
I'm an ex turner and used full form threading inserts like the one in the picture.
I remember that thread mill inserts are available and give the full form but never seen them in use.
If you go for them remember to ask for a high top rake angle as I expect that standard rake used for metal will not be sharp enough and will tear.
Let us know how you get on please.
