White space around my model?
I'm pretty new to working with 3D models. After trying to scale my model to the exact size of my stock (which the software won't let me do), I get a white space around the perimeter of my model. My stock size is 32"x16". As you can see in the screenshot, I've scaled the model to 31.9997"x16.0155, which is as close as I can get it to the size of the stock. You can also see in the screenshot that I've moved the model to exactly zero in the x and y. My main concern is the white space around the model. Can someone with more experience than me please help explain what this space is there? Thanks in advance:)

Re: White space around my model?
Could you explain your comment, "software wont let me do it"?
But later you said you resized it.
There are several ways to resize components, vectors and bitmaps in this software.
Never noticed the little white space before and it has not caused any issues with anything I have carved in 12 years.
It could be that the image is pixel based it is really the dimensions you set it too.
You are talking about 0.003 of an inch, depending on the model resolution you selected the pixels maybe bigger than that.
If it really bothers you make the model a little bigger than your material.
Draw a vector to the exact 32x16 you want.
Select both.
MODELING TAB
Clear area of selected component outside the selected vectors.

Re: White space around my model?
So if I did the math right your white space is in fact due to pixel/point size.
The attached spread sheet is only valid for a 32x16 project.
Even if you used Maximum the pixel/point size is twice your white space size.
Therefore, white space.
