Is the totem face a photo, STL or actual carved image?
I actually had a carved image that I took to a scanning service.

I've never unwrapped a wrapped object to flat before, but the software should be able to do it.
Taking a round image to a flat piece of wood may introduce some distortions.
Just look at some of the wrapping videos, when flat they are "odd looking", but once wrapped they "look right".

If it is just a photo you will have to create a model or pay someone to create it for you.
Since you already have Aspire this would be a good learning experience to teach you how to model.
Totem face are a lot easier to create than more human life like faces would be, since they are more cartoonish by nature.
