been trying to make a 3d model by splitting the first in half then want to be able to set each side to a double sided machinable model
trying a dog model (obj) and want to machine the material from between the legs

What kind of model (STL, Vectric clipart)?
If it is an STL vectric has enhanced importing options for STL and you should watch that video.
Not certain why you would want to split and do multiple 2 sided?

Due to the way Vectric products handle 3D objects (no undercuts hence the joining of the legs) you will not be able to this from within Aspire.
This will need to be done by an external program such as the one used to create the STL/OBJ files. Windows 3D Builder (might be installed on your machine already) might help but I've never used it. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/3d-bu ... verviewtab

You might want to watch the segmenting presentation from the UGM. I think you can do what you want using the techniques described there. You'll need to get creative, but it should be possible. https://ugm.vectric.com/session/3d-segmenting
