I'd forgotten until I went back to look at pics, that I'd skimmed Just enough of the top of that
White Birch(actually Yellow Birch sapwood)burl for what I "thought" was enough surface to CA.
But with burl being so porous AND being put on W Oak, my concentric "rings" of CA were enough to hold down for light passes,
But NOT enough to hold it still for RO 150G sanding;
as it came off(I'd forgotten).
Then lined up again, and did the entire thing again with "Thick" including enough to Squeeze Out;
resurface again, and sand to 600G and cut the fluting path "recess".
DID use a lot of CA G.
Thanks again for advice for Next time!
(and I'll remember NOW about 2 porous woods and CA!!)
