Post processor for lazer

Post by ltasset »

I have downloaded the post processor for the lazer and copied it to the PostP file. Also have created a new tool within the tool library (standard end mill). The problem I'm having is when trying to select the lazer post processor, the only one appearing is the one used for the spindle (.mm). Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks!

Try creating the laser as an engraving bit instead of an end mill.

I have my non-Vectric supported Axiom (J-Tech) laser defined as an endmill. No problem. Works fine.
Laser defined as endmill

Sounds like you're saying that the post processor you've installed is not showing rather than an issue with the tool.

Are you 100% sure you've installed it correctly? What version of Aspire are you running? Are you using the laser module or using the laser with the standard toolpaths?

As Adrian has said sounds like the post processor itself isn't showing, if you are running the lattest version of the software (V11) have you added the laser post processor to the list of post processors associated with your machine?

Did you exit Aspire and restart it after copying the .pp file to the post processor folder? This allows Aspire to re-read the list of post processor.
