Tool Database

Post by asever »

Updated to Aspire V11. When I go to select a tool it is greyed out and the ability to adjust feed rates etc. is not present. To work around the issue I have copied my tool db from version 10 and pasted them into the v11 toolsdatabase folder and then the tools show up properly. Attached is a picture of what I am experiencing (simple pocket that I would like to run with a .125 endmill). Just wondering what I goofed up.

Thanks.
Andy

When you installed V11 there should have been a pop up asking if you wanted to migrate the tool database. Did you say yes to that?

See this thread - viewtopic.php?f=2&t=37970

What you are seeing is correct behaviour. You have to define the tool settings for the material/machine combo you are using.

Thank you. I appreciate the point to the previous post. Sorry I did not see that before. I will have to mess with machine/material settings.

Thanks again.
