Post by Panthera »

Hi all! I saw some teasers of the V11,
What is the approximate release date?
Does anyone have any wishes pertaining to the Software if yes what are the wishlist?

The new version release is generally around the time of the User Group Meeting which will be in September.
I'd say if the they are announcing the release of V11 it's too late for a V11 Wishlist. Might want to start on a V11.5 or V12 Wishlist :D

Agreed that it is probably too late for 11.0
That said, my #1 wish is for adaptive clearing.

Ditto...it's a feature that's been available on a "competing" application for sometime and kicks up efficiency a whole bunch.

My wish is kinda minor, but it would be easy to implement. When a curved arrow is shown on an icon (such as for the rotate tool), I would like it to point in the direction of plus degrees. The present ones point in the direction of decreasing angle measurement.

I submitted this request back for 9.5, and they haven't been corrected.

The arrow points in the minus direction.

Perhaps the title of this thread should be renamed to Vectric V11.5 Wishlist or even Vectric V12 Wishlist....

Well, been away a while and still use Aspire for multiple projects. One thing that I would really like is IF .amf or.3mf could be supported both on import and export. As Aspire allows me to do some really nice pieces rapidly with the art work and buildup a piece quickly in the direction that I want to go. The I run into the problem that about 60% of my work with Aspire these days ends up translated for use in 3D printing not CNC work. So I end having to export it and then insure that the .stl is okay. The other two formats are often smaller foottprint of storage data while being much more robust when it come to model information and integrity of the model.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Wish list for V12 or higher:
  • User defined "No-Go" areas to avoid clamps
  • Collet collision detection

I'll +3 both ideas. May take me awhile to trust such features though as they'd have to rely on me telling the software where clamps are and all about my router/collet/bit length etc..

Certainly agree with these requests. I would also like to see the ability to group layers in the 2D environment.

Hello everyone

1st off, this forum has an awesome group and has helped this guy who couldn't spell CNC 9 months ago to making 3D plaques I'm proud enough to gift.

My requests seem to be relatively easy to implement. haha (outside looking in)
1. A "PROMPT" Incremental Auto-Save. The 3D Finishing Rest Machining at Max res can cause my GUI to "Not Responding" Ouch
2. A search feature added to the Tool Database Manager - Amana Tools Library is formidable
3. A volume calculation of volume of material removed from the pocket toolpath. It would help with epoxy pour calcs.

With that said, Aspire has an awesome well thought out and user friendly interface.

That you can already do with a few steps. Use the Create Model from Toolpath Preview and then you can press Ctrl-Alt-Shift V to display the volume of the created model.
