San Diego version 11 rumors?

Post by ohiolyons »

San Diego is in September and the new version typically comes out several weeks before.

Any rumors in the wild about what Vectric is up to?

Michael Mezalick was beta testing the truck/tree interface but concluded it wasn't ready for release yet.

I was told by a friend of a friends dog walker that they will hold off the release of V11 until the user group meeting in San Diego now going ahead (maybe fingers crossed) in 2022

So Vectric your turn to chime in now.

Will there be release in late August/early September as usual?

Or are you going to delay?

I sincerely prefer that they extend the release time but that there are significant things rather than a release just to make us change version (perhaps with the replacement of some icon)

I know a guy who knows a gal who knows a dog walker of a Vectric employee. Rumor is that it will be Alexa voice controlled. Alexa “make a 3d model of a squirrel”, pooooooffff a squirrel. Michael Mezalick you are out of business.

Version 12 will have Siri incorporated.

There isn't any pressure for people to ungrade & there is also no limit to how many versions that you can skip without having to pay extra for the upgrade or being told that you have to pay full price again because you haven't upgraded for 2 versions. I think they have one of the best upgrade policies that I have ever seen
Easy enough to download the trial of the new version, have a look at it & then decide that what you are currently using does all you need or even just watch the video that is normally released showing all the changes.

Oh this sounds interesting, will it just make a software 3D model or do you mean it will actually tie in with your machine & produce the squirrel? Do you know if it is also going to sand & finish the squirrel so I can just take it off the machine & it's ready to sell or give away
