Why and I getting these red lines

This is on a finish cut. Why am I getting these red travel lines and how do I correct this? Aspire 10.5

On the preview screen, red lines show where the tool is lifted and proceeding to the start of the next cut.

There may be nothing you can do, as has been said it shows where the tool lifts & moves during the cut. Sometimes switching from a raster to an offset cut or vice versa can help, if your using a raster cut then sometimes changing the raster angle can help, good thing is that you can do that as many times as you want within the software & then select which strategy works the best without actually having to cut anything. Posting the file will get you better answers but if that is not possible for copyright reasons then consider sending it to vectric support & asking them

Everyone here is an update: I always cut my projects in Raster, with the grain. The picture I posted with the rapid movements was 6% step over. I changed the step over to 6.5% and the rapid movement lines disappeared. It was as simple as changing the step over. Problem solved, thank you for your support.

I forget where I saw it but step over <8% don’t yield that much better cut for the dramatic increase in time it takes to make that cut. Hopefully someone will be able to cite a reference.

Rather than using your phone to take pictures of your computer screen, may I recommend that you use the Windows Snipping tool. This will save the screen shot to your computer. The images will be much clearer than screen shots taken with a phone or camera.

They DID work on it, and rarely encounter it anymore....sometimes you do have to tweak it though:)
Glad you solved it!

Less than 8% often gives me way less cusp marks on deep cuts with .25" shank TBNs,and will give me round eyeballs and fine details are better. Finish is usually better and requires only a soft brush to bring to no sand fine finish.
But then most of my stuff is tiny, hardwood(exotics sometimes) carves...
it's worth my machine's time to save me time.
