What’s this about?

How come I suddenly got these messages when I look at posts without logging in? Not there when I log in.

I guess it's just what it says... you can't view attachments without being logged in. A lot of boards have that restriction.

What I love about asking about why something changed is everyone else accepting it without question.

If I was trying to sell a product, such as software, I’d want as many people reading my forum as easily as possible. If you want to comment then log in. But just reading it, why log in?

No other forums I read make you log in to see posters content. Thanks for your help!

I belong to multiple forums for CNC, 3D printing and car racing. Every single one of them requires you to log in to view attachments.

Back when I ran a Visual Basic forum I had it set like that to stop bots coming along and downloading all the files off the forum.

A few permissions were reset to default yesterday following a couple of spam postings that managed to slip through yesterday.
(Apologies to anyone who was affected by this).
This forum is not intended to be used as any sales tool, it is a resource provided for customers.
We would always encourage you to login when accessing the forum.

When I open my email, images don't appear anymore. Probably the latest Microsoft update has things screwed up.

Also I've been on other forums this morning and have no problem viewing when I'm not logged in.
