Hello, I am Hans and rather new to the Aspire community so forgive me for maybe asking weird questions.
I have created a 3D ornament and something funny happens.
When machining there are some weird edges occurring, see the redlines
When viewing the 3D image in Aspire I do not see them but when reviewing the toolpath they occur, see yellow lines
Machined

Previewed toolpath
Any idea how they occur. I am sure its my fault but I cant find the mistake.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Re: Newbi 3D relief issue.
I would combine 2D for the recesses and through cuts and the only part that is 3D is the rounded raised portions. Do the 3D part first and put vectors around them and pretty much pocket out the rest.....this is what I am thinking just looking at your previews...joe
Re: Newbi 3D relief issue.
Thanks Joe. Its all made from 2D up with vectors so that might be relative easy. I will give it a try.
Although it gives no clue as to why they occur. which IMHO they shouldn't.

Re: Newbi 3D relief issue.
It has to do with the fact that Aspire components are pixelated, and vertical surfaces can give rough and unpredictable results depending on how the carving path interacts with the pixels. A zero plane at the right height might reduce the problem a bit, but the right answer is to use 2d paths for anything with vertical walls wherever possible.

Thanks Steve. I will bear it in mind.
