Bunch of nodes.

Post by Len-Tikular »

Quite often after tracing a bitmap you are left with a bunch of nodes which you don't want, is there a way of selecting several nodes in node edit mode and deleting them in one action.

Thanks

Hold the shift key down and use the left mouse button to select multiple nodes. They will turn red when selected. You can also drag select an area to select all nodes in that area. Then press delete. You can also use "Curve Fit Vectors" under the Edit menu.

"You can also drag select an area to select all nodes in that area. Then press delete."

Has that changed Steve?
Usually if I hit delete the whole vector goes.....I have to press the letter "d"and it stays joined,
just highlighted nodes are gone.
I've learned my lesson well. You can't please everyone,so you have to please yourself

When you have drag-selected multiple nodes, move your mouse away from them, then you press “D” on the keyboard to delete the nodes only! (Pressing the Delete key will delete spans/vectors along with nodes.)

All good advice BUT if you learn to use the drawing tools then you won't have a bunch of nodes that need to be deleted
