Dual spindles

I have aspire 10.5 and I'm wanting a cnc that can engrave two items at once. Identical items at the same time. Dual spindles
But unsure as to software that can make this happen
Any one out there doing this, if so what are you using and whats involved.

If you are always doing the same thing on both spindles then it is a slaved spindle and is a mechanical thing, not software.

Actually, it could be a mechanical or a software thing. For example, LinuxCNC supports software ganging of spindles. On the other hand having two machines rather than a single machine with ganged spindles provides additional flexibility, a vastly wider set of choices and also gives you a working machine when the other needs maintenance.

Agreed. Usually though the software part of it is when the machine uses two different tools in each spindle. Totally agree with you about using several machines. Folks claim that it is not possible to make money doing 3D carving. The key to making money is to have a machine farm. The biggest factor is usually labor. When that is assigned to one machine costs go through the roof. Spread out over a half dozen machines it is much less significant. It is how they make money doing 3D printing. Inexpensive machines and lots of them.
