I can't seem to figure this out. I'm using Aspire 10.5 and the roughing toolpath and the finishing toolpath cuts don't match. It's the same bits in the database I've been using for a long time so I know they are the correct diameter. Both offsets are set for .125" but the roughing toolpath is cutting a full 1/4". Which is the size of the bit. The bit for the finishing toolpath is a 1/16"TBN. If I set the offset for the finishing toolpath to 1/4" and leave the roughing toolpath offset for .125 the sidewalls align.
EDIT: Never mind. I think I figured it out:

Re: Roughing toolpath
Could it be something to do with the way the toolpaths vary? The roughing toolpath using the centre of the bit & the finishing toolpath using the edge of the bit for calculations?
Just guessing, bit early in the day for me just now

Martin,
You are exactly right. I watched Becki's two-sided carving video on the Marlin again and hers did the the same.
