Dog Hair Vectors

Looking to add German Shepherd hair to a basic dog Model. Suggestions please on where to look to how to draw.
Think it will be best to do a texture file and then fit it to my 2.5 Aspire model.

Thoughts, comments, or suggestions.

Look at the Trout modeling tutorial. The same concepts could be used for fur.

You can use the Sculpting Tools to create hair manually, too. I use a Wacom Pen Tablet that helps make hair-sculpting go reasonably quick. That’s how I created the hair on this Black Bear model:
