Fabber - a new CAM add on for Aspire and VCarve

Post by Phil »

This gadget simplifies creating toolpaths from a Sketchup drawing. I came across this on the Shopbot forum.

Interesting. If you have parts that have operations on both sides, will it handle that?

That's a question for the folks who created the gadget. The software is in alpha testing. They are looking for reactions etc.

Hi all! I created Fabber.

The alpha test is for a cloud based version of our exporter. We also have this one that integrates right into Vectric:

To answer your question about 2 sided machining: You can do it in two exports. You export your part orientated one way, and then the other.

In vectric you'd just combine those two imports as side one and side two.

For the cloud version we'll be supporting double sided machining soon, but we don't currently.
