Re: Paradise Box Issue
Thanks Steve,
As I have made at least 20 Paradise Boxes, I have not included any trays up to now. I have 5 or 6 completed and ready to put on a finish I think I will make some trays to add to them. I have only flocked a few but will most likely do some of these.

Re: Paradise Box Issue
A Google search will find many of them just in the images list. (Along with a lot of totally unrelated stuff.)mtylerfl wrote:That may be possible, Martin!martin54 wrote:From what I have seen & read on the forum & knowing that there are many users who are either not on the forum or don't post pictures of their work I would guess that Michael Tyler is wrong & the Paradise Project has been run many thousands of times rather than hundreds

Re: Paradise Box Issue
CarveOne,
A PBox would be a "Useful" item....I don't do many of those!
Besides, there are so many beautifully crafted ones...I'd be hard pressed to equal them or be original!!
Hmm...Wonder if anybody has made a 3" one?

Re: Paradise Box Issue
A “teeny version” of the Paradise Box would certainly be unique! If anyone is equipped with small enough bits to pull that off, it would be YOU, Scott!

I too feel the urge to cut my teeth on this very popular project, basic version.

Re: Paradise Box Issue
Michael,
Still working the issue. I've been volunteering at our local high school and have had my hands full of 34 "teenagers" trying to learn about woodworking. Quite rewarding, but I need to be cloned a few times to handle them all
I'm trying to upload a couple of pics that show what the machine is doing, but not having much luck. Every time I try to upload an image is shows a blank screen for at least 5 minutes. Then I get tired of waiting and back out of it. I have three images; the first shows the setup screen which "appears" to be fairly normal, the second shows the V90 tool path and how the tool cuts the first groove and then starts moving over the second groove before lifting out of the first cut, and the third shows the "top" where there are at least 6 places where the same move before lifting occurs.
Anyway to send these files to you w/o going through the forum?
My email is tomreiman@q.com
THanks,
Tom

The picture must be less than 2MB in size. Either resize it or put it in your Dropbox and post a link.tomreiman@q.com wrote:I'm trying to upload a couple of pics that show what the machine is doing, but not having much luck. Re: Paradise Box Issue
You can get a free Dropbox or Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive, upload the video/pictures then share the url to the group. That would be a big help.

Re: Paradise Box Issue
Well, I think I've figured out the problem that I have been having. In analyzing the behavior of the system I was only having a problem when the tool was using a Vcarve toolpath. In looking at my Post Processor I noticed that I was using the CNC Shark Laser, not the CNC Shark Arcs.
Once I made this change all seems to be running correctly. Thanks ALL for your valued input in solving this problem.
