Keeping Detail In Small Areas

Post by chris77 »

I am cutting letters out of 1” HDU or Signfoam. I need to keep the detail in the tight areas. I have a small radius bit (.078) but I do not want to have to use it to finish the whole piece. Is there another bit or strategy I could use?

Are you doing V-carving, Pocketing, or 3D toolpaths?

It would be lettering with a bar across through bottom connecting them all together. It would be completely cut through.
