Correct Height On 3D Object

Post by chris77 »

I have not attempted anything in 3D yet. I am trying to get the correct cutting depth on my part. I changed the depth on th Material Setup Page under Model Position In Material and in Scale Model Z Height. I am wanting it to cut 1-1/2 deep but it is only cutting 1”. I have not done an actual cut. I have only done previews. Thanks for the help.

the height of the model dictates the depth of cut. Use the "check z height of model" button under modeling to see where you're at or to change. The only control you have on the tool is how deep a cut per pass it will take along with the speed and feed.

Sorry but I looked and could not find "check z height of model" button. Where exactly is it located?
