Change rough rastering direction

Post by angelosart »

Hello

I am rastering a rough cut on a project along the x axis. It starts at 24,0 and rasters toward 0,0. I would like to reverse the direction so it starts at 0,0 and rasters along the x axis toward 24,0. Is it possible? How?

Thanks
Angelo

I could not find a way to do it. I am using V4.5 and not sure if V8 has added an angle capability to roughing?

Curious though. . . is this really important or more of a "wish I could?"

Its a wish I could. My dust collection connection is forward of the cutter and it would allow for better dust collection.

On some of my projects doing pocketing, I will change step over on bit just a tad to force a direction change. Example, I will look at my tool path on the drawing to see which way the arrows show. Some of my boxes I want to cut right to left because of the first cut being full width (heavy cut) and working the bit. I want it to go in the direction of a stop on the left which acts as a index to put my next block of wood in. Kinda assures me it won't slip in vise on that first cut.
If you want to kill time, why not work it to death!
