VCP -> Aspire 8 Upgrade

Post by roy_okc »

I've decided to upgrade from VCP to Aspire 8. Is that option available yet through the normal Vectric web link or should I wait a bit?

Thanks,
Roy

I sent an email on Friday with my current VCP registration information and was sent a link to purchase Aspire for the upgrade price. I did the transaction online but won't receive the new registration information until normal business hours for Vectric on Monday. Others may chime in but I believe the license verification is still manual there isn't a way to pay for the upgrade transaction online until that step is complete. Looking forward to unlocking the software on Monday!

Dave,

Do you know if you'll receive V8 or V4.5 initially? I'm in no big hurry and don't want to go through two upgrades, 4.5 and then 8.0, within a few days.

Hi,

All shipments of Aspire from now on will be V8.

Version 8 as I understand it. I've downloaded the trial version and the license code should make it fully functional except for all the clip art and higher resolution tutorials which will be sent on a DVD. That's how the email I received with the confirmation read. I don't want to do the upgrade twice either.

When you send Vectric an email with your current license details to confirm you are eligible for the upgrade, probably worth confirming you're getting a direct purchase of V8 without having to go through an upgrade.

Good luck.

The trial versions can't be licensed.

I sent in my request and user name for VCP to Aspire upgrade last week and the link I was sent to purchase Aspire was for 8. I was able to download it the same day.

I forgot to update. It took a few days, as I initiated on Saturday, but finally got 8 by the middle of last week. I've done a few simple designs since then, cutting a small one in cheap wood and another mid-size in lyptus that came out quite nice. I need to spend more time going through the videos and tutorials.
