HI all, I have been using my Shopbot for the last 5 years with no real problem.
But, it doesn't seem to like this "Scrolled Mirror Frame" project on the Vectric web site.
Has anyone had any problems getting this project to cut correctly.......mine stops and says it has encountered errors etc. and can't continue.
It does this several places in the Vcarve portion. The other toolpaths seem to be fine.
Plus, the vcarve isn't a very clean cut either.... pretty jagged cut in depth.
I'm at a loss. I use the same old post processor format I've been using all these years.
I have checked the toolpaths many time and have re-calculated also. Seems to save to a good file......then hangs in several places.
Any ideas????
Paul K.
Problems with latest project "Scrolled Mirror Frame"
Re: Problems with latest project "Scrolled Mirror Frame"
I noticed that if one rotates the vectors 90 degrees the vcarve does not get cut right in the preview.

Re: Problems with latest project "Scrolled Mirror Frame"
Hello,
I looked at the project files just now. I don't see any issues with the files, so I don't know what the problem could be. Exactly what specific errors are you encountering? I'm using a ShopBot too, and had no problems cutting the project. Clean cuts, perfect outcome.
Also, I rotated the project 90 degress, recalculated all the toolpaths (of course), and the cut preview came out perfectly. Again, I cannot see any problem with the files.
At this point, I'm puzzled why your results are not the same as mine.

Just so all know.........yes, the Vectric files are fine.........I found that I had a jump drive that was on it's last leg.
It had issues........used a new jump drive to move my tool path files out to my workshop..........and all is well. Should have know......Vectric is about as perfect as it gets.
Thanks for all the input.
