Vectric Aspire version 4.0?

Post by pwbell »

Heard that Aspire Version 4.0 was due out in January, then heard it was February.
What is the status of this? :?

They have always stated they where trying to get it out by then, sometimes it works out and some time it don't. I understand that the Feb release is still in the realm of possibilities. So I guess when it comes out it will, and if it don't it will be well worth the wait.

Is there a post that describes some of the features built into the new version?
Thanks

There have been a few others about things like being able to import vectors from VCarve/Aspire files and being able to save VCarve format files from Aspire.

Being able to save v-carve - (cut3D?) - from Aspire would be AWESOME - I could send stuff to my friend in California - all rights preserved of course.

Hi,

The updates to 4.0 will not be handled via the 'Check For Updates' mechanism in V3, as that is for updating Version 'X' to the latest version of Version 'X' not for upgrading to a new major version.

Version 4 will require new codes, and we will be sending emails to all registered Aspire users with details on the upgrade as soon as it is available (we are all typing as quickly as we can here at Vectric  )
