Toolpath: Wood: Cut against or with grain better?

Post by LonePine »

When I setup my toolpaths and am cutting wood, is it better to align the tool paths with the grain or against the grain for cleaner cuts?

Thanks!

I generally do the finish path with the grain. A few woods cut better cross grain (bamboo?)

Same here, generally with the grain for pocketing and 3D rastering.
