Re: PINE WOOD DERBY
Well, there is a really cool Porsche model you can make with the Cut 3D trial. That would be an awesome Pinewood Derby car - however, it may be obvious that it wasn't made by a ten year old Cub Scout...

Re: Pine Wood Derby
I've done several over the years but I'm at work now and most of those files are at home. I did find the Camaro (Bumble Bee from Transformers) we did in '10. I modeled it in Rhino and exported it as an STL. I tried to attach the stl, but it's too big (even when zipped).
I can email the file if you'd like.

Re: Pine Wood Derby
I managed to get the file size down by spliting the model and decreasing the tolerance a bit.
It's scaled to pinewood derby regulation size. I had to remove (pocket out) quite a bit of material to get the weight down to the legal limit.

Re: Pine Wood Derby
I found another one we did several years ago. We put St Louis Cardinals logos on it. My oldest son was 8 or 9 then and he went to a Cardinals youth trainning camp that year and took the car with him. Jack Clark was there and signed it for him - "Jack the Ripper".
