Hi all,
I have Aspire 8.5. I only intend to use 3 axis for projects. Now I know later versions support 4 axis machines but knowing I only need 3 axis, is there enough new upgrades to warrant me buying the latest version?
Thanks. Dave

Re: Aspire 8.5
Just a billion reasons.
Enhanced and additional drawing tools
Enhanced and additional everything, too many to list and or remember from 8.5.
Speed increases due to the ability to use graphics cards.
Double sided machining, while could be done manually in 8.5 in is way more automated since 10 I think.
Enhanced STL importing with the ability to segment a model.
Multiple sheets in a project.
Sculpting tool dramatically enhanced and added too.
Download the aspire trial version and check the new features.

Re: Aspire 8.5
The Vectric YouTube channel has a number of "what's new in Aspire" videos for versions since 8.5.

Re: Aspire 8.5
Only you can answer that question, a lot will depend on what sort of thing you do & what you would like to do in the future
As has been suggested look at the whats new video's & download the latest trial version & play about with it.
For me personally there have been a lot of changes & additions which would make an upgrade well worth while but then I might not be using the software for the same things you are

Re: Aspire 8.5
Psst. Your v8.5 won’t be the oldest version in general use…
