Darn I wish I could afford Aspire
Trial version of Aspire is great, which I had budgeted in for Aspire instead of VCarve Pro for my total cost. The tutorials have me drawing pretty neat models. It's way way faster and simpler than the free other software and free blender that I'm learning. I whish I had never heard of Aspire! lol.

V-Carve Pro is pretty much the same as Aspire EXCEPT the 3D modeling tools. All the drawing tools are the same.
If you are not creating your own 3D models, you should try V-Carve Pro trial.
Maybe it hits 80-90 percent of what you are liking, maybe you can save a few bucks.

If you are running the current version to upgrade you just pay the price difference between VCarve and Aspire. i.e. there is no penalty for buying VCarve and then upgrading vs. just buying Aspire in the first place.budgeted in for Aspire instead of VCarve Pro for my total cost
