Sliding dovetail for draws

Post by edcross »

I would like to make sliding dovetail, center mount draw slides . I was going to cut the pocket with a straight end mill , then run a dovetail bit at full depth with leads at both ends . Any other ideas , dado with dovetail bit , but it does not offer leads in gadget.

Thanks

Ed

Look into the keyhole gadget, it might work.

This will allow you to use dovetail bit, but not sliding since lt only does vertical or horizontal lines.

I found that you can use the vector line in the center of the stock and use the node editor to extend the line of the dovetail bit on both sides,( the diameter of the cutter )
