double click on waste areas in 3d view to remove to remove them

Post by djcregan »

Hi
Bit confused.
I have vcarve pro 11 on my pc at home and at work, on one the behaviour is different, in that when I double click on waste areas in 3d view the majority of the sheet is deleted instead of just waste.
I am using the same file.

Any advise would be much appreciated

In whichever one is deleting most of the sheet, in the "Toolpaths" menu drop down, click on "Preview Simulation Quality". Set it to a higher simulation quality and try again. Note this is NOT the same as "Modeling Resolution" on the job setup panel. The issue is that low preview quality can result in stray pixels touching both the waste and the areas you don't want deleted, causing them to be deleted when you double-click the waste.
