I upgraded from cut 2 D to v carve and am trying to make a delicate inlay and I find the pocket allowance is not present? I read the V carve manual and it shows it clearly identical to cut 2D with the same instructions on how to use it.
Here is a screen shot. What am I missing? Without a couple thou clearance on the pocket I can't get these tiny wooden number parts to fit into the pocket without a lot of force and luck.
Hopefully it something silly I'm missing
Thanks,
John C

If you're using the inlay toolpath they are available in my trial VCarve Pro and Desktop.
They are only available for the male toolpaths.

On the female inlay panel the Pocket Allowance is labelled Overcut Distance, in the section right under where you put the question mark. For some reason they've started using different labels on the two toolpaths.

So here is something I can't explain. When I open up a .crv file I created in Cut2D with V Carve the dialog box still says "pocket allowance" there but when I edit it in any way the box changes to say "Overcut Distance". Everything is exactly the same with different labels. Seems odd to me.

Different toolpaths. One is a pocket toolpath and the other is a female inlay toolpath.Jchaplin wrote: ↑Fri May 19, 2023 5:19 pmSo here is something I can't explain.
